Heyyy Y'all!
It's the middle of the easter holidays for me, usually about the time that I realise just how much work I have left to do... This year my work is mainly revision so that just means making sure I feel like I've done enough.
I did have about 2-3 paragraphs of writing here but me being stupid went and deleted it all D: urghh!!! Oh well, I'll just write it again.
Yesterday eveing was probably my favourite evening this holiday. I went down to 'The Mill', a river/park place near to where I live with my closest friend and was just chatted the whole time. We went adventuring for a bit then came across a park with one of those bucket swing things and sat and watched the sun start to set. It was just one of those evening that you know you'll remember and treasure forever.
There is nothing that we don't talk about!! That probably comes from the ,any years in primary school where we had a sort of love-hate relationship due to conflicting "older-sister/ younger-sister" personalities. I was the annoying one, she was the bossy one...and we still are just now we just tease each other about it or tell the other one to be quiet if they value their life.
Thinking about it, it still surprises me that we stayed wanting to be friend for so long, that we didn't just give up after falling out the millionth time and partly I think this was due to the sisterly thing we had going. But also partly because we're both Christians and so even when we disagreed on everything else, there was always one thing that kept us glued together and supporting each other. Being a young Christian today is one of the hardest things I think I will ever have to deal with. There are so many mis-conceptions of what a Christian is and what makes you a Christian that people just don't understand anymore. Its for things like this that you need a friend who is in the same boat so you can support each other.
Little Inspiration of the day, a verse I came across this morning was from Ephesians 2:10
For we are God's workmanship
Some translations say 'God's masterpiece' which I think is utterly amazing! To be considered a masterpiece is to be seen as the best thing ever created by the most amazing being ever! Considering all the mistakes that Humans have made, the amount of times we have rejected him and yet we are still his most treasure work of art.
I should probably post this and start on some revision now, so adios!
lots of hugs, abbey x
